In 2009 the Oxley Capital Group's Asian Senior
Masters @ Singapore will be staged at the prestigious
Jurong
Country Club where the inaugural ASM
@ Singapore event was staged in November 2003 which
heralded the founding of the Asian
Seniors Tour
Jurong
Country Club was originally opened in 1975, the
Course has recently undergone a major $30 million reconstruction
programme. Max Wexler was commissioned to redesign both the
front and back nines as well as include floodlighting for
Night-Golf. The course is now in excellent condition and a
serious challenge for golfers of all handicaps. Situated in
the west of the island, Jurong CC is regarded as one of the
premier clubs in Singapore.
The course, a 6,306 metre par 72, is kept in tip-top condition
all year round. As testimony to that, JCC played host to the
prestigious Singapore Open for the first time in 1997, then
again in 2001. JCC is also one of a select few in the Asia
Pacific region and one of the first in Singapore to offer
night golfing.
